High Temperature Limit Protection Switch The relief valve relieves pressure automatically while the pressure in the inlet pipe exceeds the set pressure. Relief Valve A. O. Smith Air2Heat water heater employs a high temperature limit protection switch. In case any fault occurs and the water temperature exceeds the highest preset temperature, then the switch rapidly cuts off the phase and neutral line simultaneously to guarantee safety.
